New York State has begun a Contact Tracing Program to ensure safety for all residents by tracking possible exposure to COVID-19. Contact Tracers work with people who have tested positive for COVID-19 to identify people they have had contact with and let them know they may have been exposed to the disease.

If you receive a phone call from the number below, be sure to answer the phone. You are being called by one of the trained specialists who are reaching out to individuals about possible exposure to COVID-19.

If you get a call from “NYS Contact Tracing” (518-387-9993), PLEASE answer the phone.

A contact tracer will:

NEVER ask for your Social Security number

NEVER ask for any private financial information

NEVER ask for credit card information

NEVER send you a link without proper authentication procedures

If you are asked about any of the above, you are not being contacted by a contact tracer and you should hang up the phone.

Testing, medical and quarantine support for yourself and your loved ones will be arranged. We will not release your name to anyone. Your information is strictly confidential and will be treated as a private medical record.

We hope you are all staying healthy & safe.
