This program provides assistance to refugees, asylees and parolees who have been residing in the NYS for 5 years or less with job readiness and employment services – all designed to facilitate long-term self-sufficiency.

Come meet with a case worker if you:

  • Legally have refugee, asylee and parolee status

  • Are living in the U.S. for less than 5 years

  • Are at least 16-years-old and are not a full-time student in elementary or secondary school (With some exceptions)

  • Are a New York State resident

Programs for Refugees

This program provides assistance to refugees, asylees and parolees with job readiness and employment services to facilitate long-term self-sufficiency. You qualify for RSSP if you:

  • Have legal refugee, asylee and parolee status
  • Are living in the U.S. for less than 5 years
  • Are 16 years or older and are not a full time-student in elementary and secondary school (with some exceptions)
  • Are a NYS resident

The Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) program provides assistance to refugees, asylees and parolees under the U4U program with job readiness and employment services to facilitate long-term self-sufficiency. You qualify if you:

  • Have legal refugee and parolee status
  • Arrived to the U.S. under the U4U (United for Ukraine) program
  • Are a NYS resident.

This a subcontracted program by the International Rescue Committee (IRC) that provides assistance to refugees with resettlement services defined by the U.S. Department of State PRM.

  • Have legal refugee, asylee and parolee status
  • Arrived to the U.S. through the IRC, and was dropped off from the airport to the ACA, or was picked up from Binghamton Airport by the ACA
  • Are a NYS resident
